Examples of people who have come up through the ranks at the club, reaching 750 official games in total, they went to the Ciudad Deportiva residence this week to talk to the current crop of incumbents there, as part of a meeting organised by the Psycho-Educational Department of the VCF Academy.

"If you are here, it is because you have quality," Voro told them. "You are privileged in the fact that, with your effort, you can become professional footballers and also be better people -with the values that they teach you at the VCF Academy."
Voro was part of the 'old school' Valencia CF youth system, which did not boast some of the advantages that those at the VCF Academy enjoy today.
"Being at Valencia CF is a gift," Soler explained. "I iinvite you to fight and try to achieve your dreams. Not so long ago, I was where you are."
"My reward came when I was brought into the first team and got my first game, after 10 or 12 games in the squad without being brought on."
Gayà lived at the Ciudad Deportiva for three years, and where he lived for 3 years. He knows the advantages that it brings, and also identifies with the difficult moments that players their spend away from their families.
“In my time, only two players from VCF Mestalla moved up to train with the first team. Now there are many more who are brought up, because the club have the VCF Academy and give opportunities," said Gayà , who joined at Alevin level.
