Match Report: Away loss to Sevilla FC (3-1)

Valencia CF travelled to Seville to face Sevilla FC on Wednesday the 22nd of September for their first midweek fixture of the season at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán at 7:30 pm kick-off time (CET) on Matchday 6 of LaLiga Santander. 

The game turned into an uphill battle in the early goings of the game. Sevilla FC pounced on the break through Papu Gómez. The hosts doubled their advantage off a wicked deflection which found its way in past Giorgi Mamardashvili. Rafa Mir made it 3-0 to Sevilla FC. Despite trailing by a 3-0 scoreline, Valencia CF refused to back down and, they grew into the game final quarter of the first half and Hugo Duro reduced the deficit with a left-footed volley past Bono to make it 3-1 to Valencia CF

It was a positive result for Sevilla FC, but not for Valencia CF, who came out in the second half looking to score a second goal to get back into the game.  José Bordalás made changes at half-time looking to get something out of the game.

Yunus Musah and Diakhaby came on, Hugo Duro partnered up top alongside Maxi Gómez and Guedes. Following a dangerous effort from Diakhaby. Bordalás brought on Marcos André and Koba Leïn and Manu Vallejo came on in the closing minutes of the game.

Valencia CF kept on pushing until the end alas, the scoreline remained unchanged and Valencia CF fell to a 3-1 loss away to Sevilla FC.
