Soler, Gayà and Racic earn qualification for 2022 World Cup

The trio are the latest Valencianistas to ensure a place for their country in the tournament

José Luis Gayà and Carlos Soler helped Spain achieve qualification for the 2022 World Cup Qatar. The two Valencia CF players participated in the qualifying stage for 'La Roja' and played a leading role in the last two games against Greece and Sweden. Gayà started against the former, whilst Soler was in the first XI for the decisive victory this past Sunday against the latter.

Uros Racic also made it through to the World Cup with Serbia by beating Portugal. This means that Portugal -who have Valencia CF's Gonçalo Guedes in their ranks- finish second in the group and will have to take part in the playoffs. Also participating in the playoffs will be Denis Cheryshev's Russia.
