The diehard Kevin Gameiro fan whose story moved the world, continues to overcome barriers, now from home ❤
His fighting spirit went viral after his video was shared by Will Smith and a few months ago he spent an afternoon full of emotions with his idol Kevin Gameiro
A few months ago, young Valencianista Carlos Marti met his hero, Kevin Gameiro, at the Ciudad Deportiva, as they spent an afternoon together for the International Day Of Persons With Disabilities.
Carlos is six years old, and was born prematurely with cerebral palsy. An active child, his participation in sporting activities gained attention when actor Will Smith shared a video of him with millions of followers on social media.
Like the rest of Spain, Carlos is participating in a nationwide lockdown due to the COVID-19 outbreak, but his family have kept up a routine that is maintaining order in their days.
"At home, we try to give Carlos a daily routine, with homework, school hours, exercises and therapy. To round off the day we try to play games as a family and spend the day in the best way possible, says his father, VCF Cadete team delegate José Luis Martí.
"José and I share taking care of Carlos and his sister, because I have to go to work. I work in a hospital in Valencia. I'm a nursing assistant, and in this situation I am obliged to leave the house," adds his mother, Fuensanta Santiago.
"You have to listen, stay at home and comply with the confinement. You need to show the kids that they should wash their hands well, because this virus is serious. Those who are most vulnerable run the risk of catching it, with serious consequences."
