Valencia CF open second South Korean academy in Seoul
Valencia CF’s international expansion of the VCF Academy model continues in 2020/21 with the creation of an academy in Seoul, the capital and main business centre of South Korea. The city is the fourth largest metropolitan area in the world, with more than 24 million inhabitants in an area which includes Incheon Port and Gyeonggi Province.
The new VCF academy in Seoul will be based at S-Build Futsal Park, which boasts magnificent facilities for the development of new talent. Three 8-a-side pitches and two 11-a-side pitches will be available, as well as dressing room areas and training rooms for the coaches and players.
South Korea is one of the countries with the greatest tradition of football in Asia, and Valencia CF will be present in Seoul through a collaboration with The Most Group Inc.

This exciting project will have different programmes that will help to enhance the training of players and coaches through the Valencia CF methodology. Under the VCF Academy motto of "We educate people, we develop footballers," the values of sport will be implemented through sporting and social activities to raise awareness among players, staff and family members.
Munhan Choi, The Most Group Inc Managing CEO: "The Most Group Inc. and Valencia CF offer a world-class programme that provides players with an opportunity for comprehensive development, in a format that breaks with the country's deep-rooted philosophy of ‘learning by heart.’ This new format will be based on a more fun and enjoyable learning process, so that participants can come to understand and enjoy the true meaning of teamwork. We are confident that the combination of high quality facilities and the proven and successful VCF Academy methodology will help many young talents, as we are currently seeing with South Korean player Kang-In’s success in the Valencia CF first team.”
Sean Bai, VCF Academy Director General: "We are delighted to be opening our second international academy in South Korea, and to do so in the capital city of Seoul. We continue to export our training methods around the world, giving players the opportunity to train as if they were in Valencia. Equally important is the international experience that we provide to the VCF Academy coaches that we send to oversee each project. We are confident that this will be a very successful and long-lasting project in Seoul, together with The Most Group Inc., and that the Valencia CF brand will be consolidated in the country with success stories such as Kang In, who was brought up at the VCF Academy from the 8-a-side teams to make it to the current first team squad.”
