Valencia CF will play against Manchester United to be seeded in Europa League
In the draw next Monday, December 17 at 13 o'clock, the 1/16 finals of the UEFA Europa League will see the top 12 of the group and the 4 best third places in the UEFA Champions League
Not having options to be in the next phase of the UEFA Champions League does not mean that Valencia CF face the appointment next Wednesday against Manchester United without incentives given that the result can determine a seeded position for the locals.
As indicated by the procedure for the draw of the competition, the champions of the 12 UEFA Europa League groups and the four best third teams of the UEFA Champions League will be seeded, among them is Valencia CF with 5 points, that before the Wednesday which could change things. Beating Manchester United would mean a big step forward, in addition to that 2.7 million euros would be economically paid, although it might not be enough, having currently three teams with five points (Valencia CF, Club Brujas and FC Shakhtar Donetsk).
With the last match still to play the following clubs are already seeded: Arsenal FC, Chelsea FC, GNK Dinamo Zagreb, FC Dynamo Kiev, Eintracht Frankfurt, FC Zenit St. Petersburg and FC Salzburg.
