VCF Academy products applauded for international exploits

Carlos Soler, Ferran Torres, Hugo Guillamón and Kang In were given a warm reception by the Mestalla faithful during the bwin Trofeo Naranja, paying tribute to their summer exploits with their respective national teams.

Soler was part of Spain's Under-21s European Championships winning side, whilst Torres and Guillamóndid likewise in the Under-19s team. Kang In took the Under-20s World Cup by storm with Korean Republic, being named player of the tournament.

All four came up through the VCF Academy, and are examples of the talent present at every level of the club.

Also successful this summer were Manu Vallejo -part of the same Spain side as Soler- and Gonçalo Guedes, who scored the winning goal for Portugal in the UEFA Nations League final.
