Rubén Baraja: "I'm happy and, above all, proud to be able to continue fulfilling my dream of being coach of Valencia CF"
VCF Media interviews Rubén Baraja
Valencia CF coach Rubén Baraja speaks to VCF Media after extending his contract with the Club for an additional season.
Contract Renewal
"Happy and, above all, proud to have the possibility of being able to continue at Valencia CF, to be able to continue fulfilling my dream of being Valencia CF coach and, above all, with the enthusiasm, desire and energy that I have always transmitted since I arrived here and with which I want to continue working over the next two seasons to help the team grow.
Union with the Club
"My love affair with Valencia CF seems to be consolidating and now as a coach, before as a player. Since I arrived here my objective has always been to try to give the maximum, to be able to work to improve Valencia CF's situation on a sporting level. To try to give continuity to the work that has been done since I arrived here.
Identity
"The idiosyncrasy of this Club, the philosophy is always to compete on any pitch against any opponent. We have to be very self-demanding with ourselves to try to improve the things that I think we can improve".
Family
"For me it is very important that there is a good atmosphere, that everyone feels involved and this makes us achieve our objectives in a different way. The day to day is very bearable, very positive, people who have not participated so much during the year feel part of the team and this is something that is fundamental for me".
Squad
"We have something positive, which is a background, with which the players also have a greater recognition of what we are looking for, what we want, what we ask of them in every game, in every training session and this can help us to improve and try to find what we want which is to compete to win in every game and in every scenario because Mestalla has obviously been fundamental this year, but we also have to believe that we are capable of winning on any pitch and against any opponent."
Supporters
"We can't ask for more from our fans. For me it is one of the keys to the team being in a better situation, that it can grow. The unity of the Valencian fans makes us stronger in every sense of the word. They are very important to us, they have supported us, they have encouraged us, supported us and supported us in difficult moments. They have to feel that they are the most important thing we have. Mestalla will once again be a determining factor in achieving the objectives we set ourselves for the season".
