I'm very happy, it's a very happy day for me, to receive the callup from the national team. It's an unbeatable feeling, a dream that I've always said that I wanted to fulfill.

I'm very happy for my family, for my friends, for all the people who have helped me get here. It has only been possible to fulfill it thanks to my teammates, to the coaching staff who have helped me a lot to grow as a player and as a person. Thanks to them, this day has come.

How did you receive the news? 

To tell you the truth, I was at home charging my mobile, I had put it to one side and I saw that Diego López had called me twice in a row, which seemed strange to me. The second time I took his call and he explained what was happening to me.

 He asked me if he had seen the news already, and I didn't understand what he wanted to tell me until he sent me a screenshot with my name on the coach's whiteboard. 

We chatted for a little and I thanked him for letting me know. It is a very happy situation for the whole dressing room, for the people on the coaching staff, for the people who work with us every day. 

A proud day for the Valencia CF family

For me, it is something that makes me very proud, because seeing the people who are in our day-to-day lives, who look after me, very happy, is very special.
