His arrival at Valencia CF
“It's clear and simple: Valencia CF are Valencia CF. It’s an historic club. Since we started talking, I've been very clear. The first call was a few weeks ago, we talked a little, and then week by week we’ve been in contact. The situation of me coming here has come through, and I'm very happy.”
Contact with the club
“We had contact in other transfer windows, but football is like that. It has worked out on this occasion. It's wonderful to be here.”
Tattoos
“I have a bat for Batman and, whether that’s a coincidence or not, it's a symbol here. Perhaps it's destiny.”

“I started out at a very good level there, but that's football. It's in the past, so I don't think about it. I'm focused on here, on this great club.”
His contribution to the team
“I can provide positivity and joy. I like to focus on the day-to-day work and would tell the fans not to have any doubts: We are going to achieve the objective and I am very clear about that. They should be calm, they should support as they always do, as they are an incredible fanbase.”
Former teammates
“They’ve only had good things to say about Valencia CF: That the stadium is wonderful, the fans are fantastic, the club is spectacular... I spoke with them and there have been only positive things.”
